About Us
Owner John Hardy grew up working at a locally-owned pharmacy and knew that he wanted to grow up and operate his own pharmacy one day. That dream came true when John bought Wood Drug on May 1st, 1995. Now known as Woods Pharmacy, this independent pharmacy has grown since 1934 to meet the needs of the McAlester, OK, community.
Our goal is to offer the most comprehensive, convenient service to customers.

With an urgent care clinic conveniently located next door, we can have your prescription ready to go in just 10 minutes! Plus, we utilize cutting-edge technology, using two state-of-the-art robots to help fill prescriptions accurately.

Are you in need of a vaccine? We offer many vaccines conveniently in our pharmacy. Our incredible staff is highly trained and experienced and can make your experience convenient and stress-free.
Over the Counter Medicine
For medicine that doesn’t require a prescription, you can trust Woods Pharmacy to be stocked on all the essentials, including cough and cold medicine, vitamins, and more.
Prescription Home Delivery
For those who are homebound and cannot visit us in person, we’ll deliver your prescriptions to you!
Medicine On Time
We utilize “medicine on time” software, offering effective packaging solutions. We can package multiple pills in one pack and date and label them for the time of day they should be taken.
Blood Pressure Test
Be proactive about your health and test your blood pressure at our free exam station.
Bill Payment Center
While you’re visiting us, pay your electric, gas, or credit card bills at our convenient bill payment center.
